Fighting between federal government forces and Al-Shabaab fighters is reported to be ongoing in parts of Hiran region in Hirshabelle region.
The fighting erupted in Bulo-burte and Jalalaqsi districts of Hiran region after Al-Shabaab militants attacked a military base in the area.
Residents have reported that they heard the sound of gunfire using the Federal Government and Al-Shabab, and is the area, but could not prove.
Reports have also continued to deteriorate in the attack in the region of origin and towns, and some officials say that the fight is strong.
The casualties of the fighting in Bulo-burte and Jalalaqsi areas of Hiran region are not yet known, and military officials are expected to comment in the coming hours.
In the past few days, the Somali National Army (SNA) has carried out targeted operations against Al-Shabaab militants in the Middle Shabelle region, capturing areas under Al-Shabaab control.
